GCC ANNUAL GALA CELEBRATION—SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Gloucester County College will hold the Foundation’s annual fundraising Gala that supports student success on Saturday, February 27, at Auletto’s Caterers in Almonesson from 6:30 to 11 p.m.
This year’s optional black tie affair will celebrate the Foundation’s twenty-ninth anniversary of promoting student achievement through scholarships for in-need and deserving students. Last year’s Gala raised over $54,000 by bringing together area business leaders, dignitaries, college alumni, faculty, students and staff to financially assist GCC scholars. The public is encouraged to come out and enjoy an evening of fine dining, live entertainment and camaraderie while supporting a good cause.
Gala Chairperson and Foundation Vice President Kristina Fernald, regional human resources and public affairs director at NuStar Energy in Paulsboro, noted that 200 people are expected to attend the event. Entertainment will be provided by the “Juliano Brothers” and is guaranteed to get people dancing.
Artwork for the Gala—save-the-date cards, invitations, and programs—was created by GCC computer graphic arts student, Amanda Berry.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $125 a person, and special individual and corporate sponsorships are still available.
Thanks to the support of major sponsors, the GCC Foundation Gala is always a huge success. Major gala sponsors this year include Valero Refining Company—New Jersey, Greenwich Township; the law firm of Archer & Greiner, Haddonfield; TD Bank, Turnersville; Konrad Beer Distributors, Deptford and NuStar Energy, Paulsboro.

The GCC Foundation was formed in 1969 to serve as a link between the college and community. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided millions of dollars for scholarships, as well as funded major grants for campus improvements. More than $125,000 in total scholarships will be distributed to GCC students this year.
